Our Members are the engine room of creative activity across our state. Their reach is far and wide with some 500,000 people enjoying Regional Arts Victoria Members’ projects and events every year.

Individual Membership
SmartySearch Grants Database
Our SmartySearch tool is an online grants search tool powered by the Funding Centre’s comprehensive grants database. SmartySearch makes finding grants easy for RAV Members, with free access to an unlimited number of grant searches through the Membership Dashboard.
Cost effective Combined Liability Insurance
Each year RAV takes out a master policy on behalf of all Members with a combined total liability cover of $20M. This includes public liability cover. Combined Liability insurance offers protection to you, your company and employees for claims involving bodily injury and property damage resulting from your products, services or operations. The policy is endorsed to cover public, products and advertising liability.
As a RAV Member you can opt into this policy for a set annual fee.

Access a broad range of tools to assist you with your artistic development, project planning, and marketing. These include how to write a media release, best practices around language and accessibility, understanding copyright, funding tips and many more.
Member profile
Join hundreds of talented Members on our Meet Our Member database with your own profile. Search other creatives in your area and practice.
Member event promotion
Add your Events to What’s On. We’ll share them in our monthly Enews and on our socials to around 20,000 followers!
Invitations and discounts to RAV events
Members receive priority booking to events that we run throughout the year. Invites for these are emailed straight to your inbox.

Your say in RAV’s activities
RAV Members are encouraged to attend and vote at Annual General Meetings. A great chance to connect with our board, elect board seats and contribute to the direction of RAV.

Our monthly Enews shares the story of our organisation throughout the year, including possibilities and opportunities to engage in exciting creative projects, as well as upcoming events hosted by our Members.

Our Membership Team is happy to assist members with setting up profiles, adding events to our What’s On pages, promoting your events or work, or generally being available for a good yarn. We love to hear about what you’re working on and we want to celebrate it!

Then you are eligible to apply!
$60 Annual Membership only
$260 Annual Membership with Combined Liability Insurance
Annual Membership is from 31 October to 31 October each year. New Members joining from mid-July receive bonus months on our current policy at no extra cost, however you can join at any time throughout the year.
New Members that join between 1 December and mid-July are eligible for pro-rata rates on both Membership and optional Combined Liability Insurance fees.
All prices are inclusive of GST and administration fees.

Organisation Membership

Please note: Organisations with a gross annual income over $1M are not eligible for RAV’s Combined Liability cover.
Association Liability Insurance
Association liability insurance provides protection to the organisation including directors and officers, committee members arising from any claim for any wrongful act, including, but not limited to employment practice breach, fraud and dishonesty, occupational health and safety defence costs, statutory liability (fines and penalties), for which the insurer agrees to pay on behalf the association.
This cover is available to Not-For Profit Organisations and is included with Membership.
Please note: For-Profit Organisations are not eligible for Association Liability Insurance.
Personal Accident for Volunteer Workers Insurance
Personal Accident Insurance for Volunteer Workers protects volunteers and Members from expenses incurred due to injury sustained while engaged in official unpaid voluntary activities.
This cover is included with Organisation Membership.

Organisation members’ discount
If you are an Organisation Member with your own members, you can offer them half-price RAV Individual Membership. To access this discount, login to the Membership Dashboard to access the discount code to pass onto your members.
Your say in RAV’s activities
RAV Members are encouraged to attend and vote at Annual General meetings. Organisation members can elect a nominated voter to vote at the RAV Annual General Meeting on their behalf. A great chance to connect with our board, elect board seats and contribute to the direction of RAV.

If you are applying as an organisation who is:
- Incorporated or a not-for-profit or charitable organisation; or,
a small creative for-profit business with a gross annual income under $1M - Based in Victoria, or have their principal place of business in Victoria
- Have the promotion of regional arts or cultural pursuits as a primary or principal focus.
Then you are eligible to apply!
Organisations <$100,000: $275* Annual Membership
*This is the Base Fee; insurance costs are calculated based on gross annual income.
- Not-for-profit organisations: the Base Fee includes Association Liability Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance for Volunteer Workers.
- For-profit organisations: the Base Fee includes Personal Accident Insurance for Volunteer Workers.
Combined Liability Insurance is an optional add on. See Table of Fees below.
Organisations $100,001>: $350* Annual Membership
*This is the Base Fee; insurance costs are calculated based on gross annual income.
- Not-for-profit organisations: the Base Fee includes Association Liability Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance for Volunteer Workers.
- For-profit organisations**: the Base Fee includes Personal Accident Insurance for Volunteer Workers.
