2024 North Bellarine Film Festival

The North Bellarine Film Festival has been bringing great cinema to the Geelong region since 2017.

The 2024 North Bellarine Film Festival will be held on 15/16 November at Parks Hall in Portarlington.

The festival will begin with Opening Night drinks and nibbles at Pier Street Café in Portarlington followed by a screening of the Amy Waterhouse biopic, Back to Black . The evening’s special guest will be local filmmaker Cassidy Krygger, who will sit for a Q&A following the screening of her short film, Daisy.

A program of short films will be screened on Saturday afternoon beginning with the 2024 winner of Geelong Waterfront Foundation’s 48 Hour Film Frenzy competition.

The Emerging Filmmaker Award Ceremony will be held on Saturday evening and begin at Pier Street Café. The Emerging Filmmaker and Emerging Documentary Filmmaker awards are presented to filmmakers who are past or current residents of Victoria and 25 years of age or younger. The audience will also have the opportunity to select its favourite film of the evening by voting for the People’s Choice Award.
