Regional Manager, Gippsland
We are looking for a Regional Manager, Gippsland, to support and mentor Gippsland’s creative sector, contributing to sustainable careers and region-wide initiatives. The role will also be responsible for:
- Stewarding and building relationships with region-wide organisations e.g. Regional Development Victoria, Destination Gippsland, Gippsland Regional Partnership.
- Renewing relationships with Gippsland’s six Local Government Areas – East Gippsland Shire, Wellington Shire, South Gippsland Shire, Baw Baw Shire, Bass Coast Shire, Latrobe City Council.
- Mentoring identified individuals and organisations to support peer to peer and sector capacity building.
- Develop relationships with First Nations organisations including Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC).
- Supporting region-wide creative initiatives and festivals.
- Nurturing participation in the creative industries.
This role is based in Gippsland, Victoria. The successful applicant must be based in, or relocate to, one of the six LGAs in the Gippsland region: East Gippsland Shire, Wellington Shire, South Gippsland Shire, Baw Baw Shire, Bass Coast Shire, Latrobe City Council. The successful applicant will be required to travel throughout Gippsland and occasionally to Melbourne and other areas of Victoria.

Regional Arts Victoria encourages volunteers who would like to contribute to the work of creative organisations across the state to reach out to our Members. Almost 200 regional Victorian arts organisations make up our membership. They run arts festivals, music and literary events, galleries and many other creative programs and are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers.
